In the late hours of a Saturday night, on January 7, 2023, the life of 17-year-old Giancarlos Rivera-Lopez was tragically cut short in Columbus, Georgia. A Hispanic male, Rivera-Lopez was found lying on the ground in the 8000 block of Veterans Parkway, within the Spring Creek Village Apartments complex, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
