On November 25, 2021, 15-year-old Travis Walton, an African American male, was tragically killed in a shooting in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred on Thanksgiving Day at the intersection of Emerson Avenue and Eton Drive. Columbus Police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 11:54 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Travis Walton suffering from gunshot wounds.
