On a late Friday evening in Shreveport, Louisiana, the life of 29-year-old Demetrius Markeith Owens, a male resident of nearby Rodessa, was tragically cut short. On September 8, 2023, just after 10:35 p.m., Owens was attempting to enter an apartment in the 9100 block of Walker Road when he was shot multiple times by another man at the apartment.
