Enel Jean, age 22, was killed on January 8, 2007, in Miami, Florida, in what authorities described as an ambush involving Haitian street gangs. Jean was traveling with his mother, Monique Jean, and his girlfriend, Sheena Pierre, when their SUV was attacked. The ambush occurred after they had attended a court hearing for Enel regarding a pending drug charge.
