On a late Thursday night in Hagerstown, Maryland, a dispute between two acquaintances escalated into a fatal encounter. Just before 11:00 p.m. on August 1, 2024, police responded to a shooting on the 300 block of North Jonathan Street. There they discovered 45-year-old Tyrone Earl Nelson of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported Nelson to Meritus Medical Center, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced deceased.
