In the late hours of a summer evening in Baltimore, tragedy befell 18-year-old Robert Michael Wagner Jr. On August 17, 2023, the young Black man was shot in the 600 block of West Cherry Blossom Way. Responding to a report of a car crash around 11:35 p.m., officers discovered Wagner inside one of two damaged vehicles in the 700 block of West Saratoga Street, suffering from gunshot wounds.
