In the fading light of a Monday evening in southwest Atlanta, a life was tragically cut short. Sheldon Morris, a 51-year-old man, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to his head in the 200 block of Thornton Street. The call came in to the Atlanta Police Department around 7 p.m., reporting a person shot. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. Morris, who was pronounced dead by medics.
