Jerrod Ford, 22, a Black man from Atlanta, was killed in the early hours of November 1, 2013, after what should have been an ordinary Halloween night out with friends. According to local reporting, he left home around 11:30 p.m. to go to a birthday party, and within less than an hour his life was over.
