On March 2, 2023, the remains of 31-year-old Angel Ponce were discovered near East Benton and Sage roads in an unincorporated area near Hemet, California. Ponce, originally from Escondido, had been reported missing by his family on February 18, 2023. He was residing in Temecula with 31-year-old Danielle Ricker, who was reported missing on February 23, 2023. Both were presumed deceased based on evidence gathered during the investigation.
