On July 21, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., 25-year-old David Perez was fatally shot at the Ultimate Game Room, located in Alvin, Texas. The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire at the establishment, where they found Perez critically injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
David Perez was a lifelong resident of Alvin, born on January 2, 1998, in Galveston, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter, Adelynn Perez; his mother, Adriana Nolasco; his father, David Perez; his sister, Samantha Hernandez; and his brother, Aaron Hernandez, along with numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral services were held on July 25, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home, followed by interment at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Perez's death. The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the case and has urged anyone with information to come forward. Crime Stoppers of Brazoria County has also highlighted the case, emphasizing that David was a son, a brother, and a father, and appealing to the community for assistance in bringing his killer to justice.
This tragic incident has left the Alvin community in mourning and has raised concerns about safety in local establishments. Authorities continue to seek leads, and the community remains hopeful that those responsible for David Perez's death will be apprehended and held accountable.
