On a cold December evening in New Haven, Connecticut, Samuel Hooks, a 44-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot, marking the city's tenth homicide of 2018. The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, on Dorman Street.
