In the early hours of a summer morning in St. Louis County, tragedy struck a neighborhood street. Duan Regans Jr., an 18-year-old Black male, was with a group of people in the 6200 block of Creston Avenue in Pine Lawn, the very block where he lived. At approximately 2:19 a.m. on June 20, 2022, the gathering was shattered by the sound of multiple gunshots. When the chaos subsided, two individuals were found to have been hit by the gunfire.
Both Regans Jr. and a 19-year-old man were struck.
