In the winter of 1996, a 36-year-old man named Anthony Francis Roberts, also known to friends as "Buzzy," disappeared from the small town of Prescott, Ontario, leaving behind a mystery that has endured for decades. He was last seen on January 8, 1996, driving his vehicle eastbound on King Street in his hometown. This brief sighting would be the last confirmed trace of the man who was described by those who knew him as mild-mannered and intelligent. When he was officially reported missing on January 19, 1996, the scene at his home suggested he had not planned to leave. His vehicle was parked in its usual spot, and inside his residence, investigators found his winter coat, a refrigerator stocked with groceries, and other personal belongings left behind, painting a picture of a life abruptly interrupted. The circumstances surrounding Anthony's disappearance quickly led investigators to suspect that he had met with foul play. Friends and family were adamant that he would not have vanished without a word. Adding to the concern were reports from witnesses who claimed to have seen Roberts with a significant amount of cash shortly before he was last seen.
