In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in Kansas City, Missouri, tragedy struck a young man. On June 22, 2021, 22-year-old Ja’len Scott-Jackson was inside a residence in the 1900 block of East 24th Terrace when the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the neighborhood.
