In the early morning hours of August 1, 2019, the quiet of a Hyattsville, Maryland neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Outside a home on the 4600 block of Burlington Road, 38-year-old Dante Campbell was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders were called to the scene around 3:40 a.m. and quickly transported him to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died a short time later.
