On a Saturday afternoon in June 2018, 25-year-old Michael Johnson was fatally shot in the 1600 block of Baker Street in West Baltimore. When police arrived at the scene near the Gilmor Homes housing development, they found Johnson on the ground, bleeding profusely from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he ultimately died from his injuries.
