In the summer of 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon calm in an East Baltimore neighborhood, claiming the life of Dione Maurice Solomon. The 29-year-old Black male was discovered inside a car on the 2700 block of East Chase Street just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 1st. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
