Patrick Cotter, aged 61, was found dead on May 17, 2021, in Fresno, California. Initially, the incident was reported as a murder-suicide, but further investigation revealed it to be a double homicide. On the day of the incident, police responded to a call at a mobile home on W. McKinley Ave. Upon arrival, they discovered Patrick Cotter with a fatal gunshot wound and his 15-year-old son, Brian, critically injured from a gunshot wound.
