Carlos Ledesma-Diaz, an 18-year-old from Escondido, California, tragically lost his life on January 31, 2021, in a shooting incident at the Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego in the Core-Columbia neighborhood. The San Diego Police Department responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 9:30 p.m. and found Ledesma-Diaz mortally wounded in a guest room.
