Michael Hammonds

Michael Ali Hammonds, a 20-year-old aspiring rap singer from Hyde Park, was fatally shot on November 4, 2018, in the 16200 block of Hawthorne Boulevard in Lawndale, California. According to Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Hammonds was with his longtime friend Daevion Johnson, 21, and a group of others accompanying a neighborhood rapper who had rented space at a studio. The events of that evening were marked by confusion and violence, ultimately leading to Hammonds' tragic death.
