Sook Mi Oh, a 55-year-old resident of Salinas, California, tragically lost her life on August 15, 2014, during a violent robbery at the Hot Stop convenience store on Williams Road. On that fateful night, two masked men entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. When the store employee struggled to open the register quickly enough, one of the robbers shot Sook Mi Oh, who was visiting the store and standing near the employee.
The robbers fled the scene without taking any money, leaving Sook Mi Oh fatally wounded. She was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
