Sherman Jennings, a driver for the Yellow Cab Taxi Company, was tragically found dead on January 14, 1999, in San Diego, California. At approximately 3:30 a.m., a resident of 4100 C Street noticed an apparently abandoned Yellow Cab parked across the street. Upon closer inspection, the resident discovered Jennings slumped forward in the driver's seat. When the police arrived, they determined that Jennings had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
