On December 16, 2018, a tragic incident occurred in Homestead, Florida, resulting in the death of 7-year-old John S. Presnar Jr. The young boy was shot and killed by his father, John Presnar, a 44-year-old U.S. Coast Guard electronics technician. The incident took place around 1 a.m. at their family home.
