Sheriff's Office (PBSO) swiftly launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of a 14-year-old boy. The young suspect, Anthony Clark, was charged with the murders of Laudano and Miner. According to court records, Clark and an unnamed accomplice had planned to rob Laudano, who was known to carry large sums of cash from his marijuana sales. The plan involved luring Laudano to a meeting spot, where Clark shot both Laudano and Miner in the head while they sat in the car. The robbery netted Clark $5,000, which he later spent on a shopping spree.
The case proceeded to trial, where Clark was sentenced to 60 years in prison for the double homicide. The court heard emotional testimonies from the families of the victims, who described the profound impact of the loss on their lives.
