Deosaran Maharaj, a 51-year-old man from Pompano Beach, FL, died on March 16, 2014, following a deputy-involved shooting. Maharaj, who was reportedly of islander descent, was involved in an incident at a Marathon Gas Station on Hammondville Road and Northwest 31 Avenue.
