In the early evening of September 26, 2021, in Valdosta, Georgia, the life of 32-year-old Ronnie Darryl Greer, an African American male, was cut short. At approximately 7:25 p.m., emergency services were flooded with calls reporting a shooting in the 1200 block of West Savannah Avenue. Upon their arrival, Valdosta Police Officers discovered Greer with a gunshot wound to his lower body. First aid was immediately rendered at the scene by the officers until paramedics could take over.
