Xavier Turner, a 44-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on January 8, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia. Turner, who had recently become a grandfather, was fatally shot outside the Discount Mall on Godby Road in College Park. According to reports, Turner was attempting to mediate a conflict between his friend and another individual when the situation escalated, and he was shot.
