In the early hours of a Saturday morning, on August 22, 2009, the life of David Ezekiel Lumpkins III, a 20-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. The incident that led to his death unfolded at approximately 12:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Yale Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland.
