On July 12, 2014, 35-year-old Omar Perez was fatally stabbed outside Ewell's Bar at Chestnut and McKinley in Fresno, California. The incident began with an argument inside the bar that escalated into a physical altercation outside. During the confrontation, Perez was stabbed and subsequently transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the stabbing.
