On August 20, 2022, Jaleel Akiel Sthillaire, a 28-year-old man from Allentown, PA, was fatally shot in a double-shooting incident. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near South 15th Street and Union Street. Officers responding to the scene found Sthillaire and another unidentified man with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where Sthillaire was pronounced dead, and the second victim was expected to survive.
