On December 10, 2003, 19-year-old Kevin Michael Whitaker was tragically killed in his family's home in Sugar Land, Texas. Kevin, a young man of Caucasian ethnicity, was shot along with his mother, Tricia Whitaker, and his father, Kent Whitaker, by an intruder who had entered their home as they returned from celebrating Bart Whitaker's upcoming graduation. Tricia, 51, died on her way to the hospital, while Kent survived with injuries.
