On the night of November 4, 2025, a verbal altercation at an apartment complex in Orange, Texas, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 36-year-old Dupri Booker. The incident occurred at approximately 9:33 p.m. at the Velma Jeter Apartments located at 2500 Allie Payne Road. Responding to a disturbance call that was updated to a firearm discharge while they were en route, officers with the Orange Police Department arrived at a chaotic scene.
