In the summer of 2022, a sense of unease settled over a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood. On the morning of Wednesday, June 22nd, a call was placed to emergency services regarding a person down inside a residence at 313 6th Street SW. When officers from the West Precinct and Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived, they discovered the unresponsive body of a 48-year-old white female, Christina Marie Torres.
