On the morning of March 19, 2023, a shooting at the Talladega Downs Apartments in Talladega, Alabama, claimed the life of 23-year-old Djuante Nyjuwan Dickey. The violent incident also resulted in the death of 22-year-old Montrelle Dontae Johnson and left a third individual, Adrien Swain, in critical condition. Dickey was a male.
