In the early evening of a Monday in Kansas City, Missouri, events unfolded that would tragically end the life of 28-year-old Mauliek Taylor. Officers were called to the parking lot of an apartment building in the 5100 block of Hickory Road shortly before 7 p.m. There, they discovered Taylor, a male, unresponsive beside a vehicle.
