On December 11, 2024, 31-year-old Markazsa Perry was fatally shot in southwest Fresno, California. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. near East Samson and South Lee avenues. Perry was in the backyard of a residence when three unidentified male suspects approached and fired over 40 rounds in her direction. She sustained a single gunshot wound to her upper body and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
