On December 5, 2017, John Timothy Graves, a 27-year-old father of three, was found shot inside a black Ford Mustang convertible at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and First Street in Fresno, California. The shooting occurred around midnight when another vehicle pulled alongside Graves' car and fired multiple rounds. Graves was unarmed and reportedly not involved in any criminal activity.
Despite efforts by responding officers to save him, he succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
The Fresno Police Department has continued investigating the case, but a lack of willing witnesses has made progress difficult. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward, with a reward being offered for leads that may help solve the case.
