Frederick Temple, a 25-year-old resident of Anaheim, was tragically killed on February 28, 2017, in Stanton, California. The incident occurred in the afternoon near Dale and Lola avenues, where Temple was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of deputies and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) launched an extensive investigation, involving multiple departments including the Homicide Team, Gang Detail, and
the North Directed Enforcement Team.
The investigation revealed that the shooting was connected to another incident that took place earlier near Cerritos Avenue and Yana Drive. Two suspects, Noe Lezama and Alfredo Quiroz, both 25 years old, were arrested in connection with the murder. Lezama, a resident of Anaheim, and Quiroz, from Garden Grove, were taken into custody and booked on suspicion of murder. They were held on $1 million bail each and were expected to appear in court shortly after their arrest. The investigation also explored potential gang affiliations, as both the suspects and the victim were believed to have ties to local criminal street gangs.
