In the spring of 2016, a 26-year-old African-American man named Kevin Lee Evans lost his life to gun violence in Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of Tuesday, May 17, 2016, Evans was in the 4200 block of Sheldon Avenue when he was shot multiple times. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found him suffering from his wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the location of the shooting.
