On April 14, 2024, at approximately 1:51 a.m., 38-year-old Gilberto Gutierrez was fatally shot outside Ewell's Bar, located at the intersection of Shaw and Marks Avenues in Fresno, California. According to the Fresno Police Department, Gutierrez attempted to defuse a verbal altercation involving his friend and another group when the situation escalated into a physical confrontation.
