On March 17, 2023, 21-year-old Jordan Idahosa, a college student from Georgia, was shot and killed during a chaotic Spring Break weekend in Miami Beach, Florida. Idahosa, who was enrolled at South Georgia State College and also took classes at Valdosta State University, was visiting Miami Beach with his friends for the spring break.
